About the Conference
The Paul Lucas Graduate Conference is presented by the the History Graduate Student Association—a collective of graduate students at Indiana University whose mission is to create connections both within the department and across the University. The HGSA hosts social events and community-buidling activities, the largest being the Paul Lucas Graduate Conference.
The Paul Lucas Graduate Conference is an annual event that provides a forum for graduate students to share and get feedback on their original research. This year's conference, scheduled for April 13th and 14th, 2024, will take place in the Indiana Memorial Union. The goals of the conference are to help humanities graduate students hone their professionalization skills by presenting their research in a public forum and fielding questions from an audience. We hope that it can provide a space for undergraduate and graduate students to meet and converse with each other, as well as faculty members—stimulating new friendships and ideas for future research.
